Bogal, is situated in the region of Kabada, Southern Senegal. Until before his arrival Bogal has been a land no one has ever heard of though in existence since time immemorial, its been made prominent and distinct in the map of Senegal. Some years ago Bogal use to be a seat of religious meeting point. There has been a brief period of long silence, of such religious activity taken place. This is history repeating itself, Bogal being rejuvenated and back to its glory days when religious gathering of the Ulemas is the norm.Years of enterprising hardwork by Bogal's inhabitants and the indigenious is the bulwark of the advances we witness today.

Sheikh, Al-Hajj, Cherno AbdouRahmane Barry is the associated to Bogal. At the time of his newly found land, doubts were being cast of its inhabitable nature, thinking he will abandon it sooner, much the same way like those who lived there earlier. Little did they realise that Bogal is meant to be a holy place. Comparatively, Bogal today, and what is was then before, cannot just be, by chance. Bogal is now alive and well, flourishing in every way, in terms of settlement, water, and electricity.

Cherno was born in Gouba, Senegal where his father was also interned not seeing his child at birth. Cherno didn't have the opportunity of physically seeing his father at any age, at all. He was born after the passing of his father in Gouba, Senegal. Cherno's ancestry can be traced back in small town called Timbi, Guinea Conakry, West Africa, his father's origin.

The migration from Timbi to the settlements in Gouba was met with adoration at every step along the way. The warm reception he receives from the people, at several places uses as a stop during his great, significant journey was a tell tale sign to his final place of settlement. At every place he was either enticed or persuaded to stay and settle because of his vast humilty, knowledge and wisdom he acquired. But, his final place of settlement was not meant to be till he finds the exact place of resemblance in his spiritual inspiration from Allah (SWT).

This led Cherno's father to travel to Cassamance, Senegal in search of the spiritual "light" of Cherno Abdur-Rahmane Barry, the son he would never witness at birth. In pursuit of his spiritual quest Allah had showed him, revealing where to find such "light" of Cherno , which leads him to Cassamance. On his arrival, he met notably, two Islamic religiuous scholars (Marabout).

Cherno's father himself, a highly, revered, knowledgeable Islamic religious scholar, in all the sciences of the Qur'an, and its esoterics, the Hadith and Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh), was hugely revered by everyone. With his knowledge and wisdom comparatively, people from his area and environs came to him in droves seeking prayers, also knowledge in Islam and for advice and direction relevant in all aspects of their life. Up until now those people still alive who had relationship with Cherno's father then, can be seen carrying that legacy unto Cherno. They will still come seeking prayers, religious knowledge and other life matters.

As the signs well indicated, Cherno's father knew of his demise is nigh when he became ill at a particular, important time of his life. Alpha Hamadi was also a man of knowledge and wisdom, so close to Cherno's father didn't know of the ilness until Cherno's father's demised. When he try to sought an answer of not being informed of the illness, the explanation was because of distance. He was distraught of the sad news knowing how much he was so well attached to the great man.
